Canton -i

Hong Kong cuisine is often taunted as the true cantonese cuisine with huge followings worldwide. Hence Canton-i is born, wholy owned by Dragon-i , this outlet serves great Cantonese cookings. They take high pride in quality and even the noodles are all imported from wherelse other than Hong Kong !

Roast is one of Dragon-i signature dish

For a good bowl of Wanton Noodle, the noodles must possess egg fragrance and feel smooth and brickle and the colour of the noodle must also be bright. The stuffing should be fresh and the meat clearly phased. The soup must be aromatic and yet clear.

Align CenterFish porridge with fried intestine. Muddy taste spoils the otherwise good porridge

Braised beef tebdon with radish. Yummy !! My Favoutite

Damansara Village Seafood steamboat !

This former radio DJ owned seafood steamboat really serves a great fresh n tasty seafood steamboat. Live seafood arrives daily from Pulau Ketam to ensure its freshness. How fresh is fresh ??? Try it and you would know..a hint, dont scream if the prawns is still jumping the moment you throw it in the pot !!!

For 8 of us we ordered their seafood set which cost us RM169....which is just nice .......

Meat crab...was part of it

Green lip mussels also.......and not forgetting huge lala's ( below )

Fresh live tiger prawns which was still jumping on our plate....

The one which escaped from the pot ! See the tail which has turned red..call me barbarian or cruel...but the best way to have seafood is cook it when its still alive...less pain for the prawn rather than its left to die without water.....

Fresh red snapper which was still alive minutes ago . This is that I call fresh !

Our pot..with their signature Herbal Pot Soup which consist of chinese herbs and wine.

Red Wine Steamed La-la......Steamed with Chinese red wine, herbs and ginger marinate a mix of giant Sar Pak (giant clams) and local la-la and steamed to perfection.

How do I get there ??

Love those steams coming out from the steamer

Charsiew !!! Honey glazed

Pig trotter soup with peppercorns

What is dimsum without harkow ???

Braised duck wings ...

Scallop dumpling. The fish roe on top masked the freshness of the scallops.

SiewMai..everyones favourite.A staple in all the dimsum restaurants

Steam prawn rice nodles. Was kinda thick and rough....

Nambawan revisited......again ( and again )

Pics from recent visit to Nambawan again for their good food..........2 straight days !! Sorry just cant get enough of it. Yeah they do special orders on weekends also.....roast pork belly, roast ribs and tiramisu.

Day 1................. Saturday night

Roast pork belly @ RM 12.90. Siu Yoke done western style with brown gravy and apple puree

Cod fish with tomato and cheese.

Honey glazed ribs......juicy and perfectly done. I've found a contender for Tony Romas pork rib !

Stonegrilled pork belly !! Yummylicious !!!!!!

Tiramisu, just like the way I've had in Italy. Sinfully rich with grappa added...

And on Sunday, was a meeting with members from ShutterAsia makan forum. Nambawan No1 fan and my mentor Bunny ordered a special roast pork shoulder. Sorry this is a special order and minumim 2kg each....

Roast prok shoulder . Yummy with the cranberry sauce served

Nambawan ....or Number 1 ?????

Should have been Number 1 issit ? IMHO ...their food her beats SF, Victoria station anytime ! First view of this family cafe located in Taman Sri Manja suggest it to be another version of budget steak house ala Kaki corners etc. But the first sald and 3 main we ordered changed our mindset and we ended up ordering another 3 mains again ! Mind you there are only 3 of us !

Fresh garden salad with balsamic vinegar and olive oil....yummy and refreshing

Charbroiled Tenderloin with gravalax sauce. Juicy and nicely donw till medium rare.

Porky delight ! Stone grilled pork belly. Best prok I ever had !! Juicy !

Old English sausage !! Homemade and juicy !!!!!

Homemade 100% beef burger. Ordered medium at first..then came Gilbert, the chef , and told us that its better to go for well done..and we leave it to his hands. And we never regretted !!

Grilled lamb chop with buttermint sauce..minus the gamey smellof lamb..and I never knew lamb could be so tender !!!!

Spagetthi Arabianta..filled with bacon bits and slightly spicy. A change from the normal Bolognese !

What shock us most is the price. Total damage for 6 mains , 4 drinks and 1 entre was only RM103 !! A preety good deal for a decent meal of course. But could be better if the portion could be 20% bigger..but good also as we can try out more choice of food !
